Gennene

Gennene is the founder & director of Phoenix Pole Studios. She first tried pole dancing on a girls day out and with a background in gymnastics & dance, she instantly fell in love with the combination of flexibility, strength & freedom of expression that makes pole so beautiful.

Gennene is a supportive & encouraging teacher who believes that every student has untapped potential to be discovered & shared. She believes that pole can add purpose to your life and that it is never too late to start! And at  52, she is a testament to that.

Her ultimate goal is to inspire people of all ages to learn the art of pole dancing & all things aerial so they can become empowered, confident, learn to love the skin they are in & to stay fit & strong.

Lauren

Lauren has been pole dancing now for over a decade, after starting classes (as a joke!) with some friends during university. 2 classes in, she was hooked and 6 months later she was instructing. Lauren's pole style ranges from classic pole (think "pour some sugar on me") to lyrical to acrobatic (loves a good flip!).

A big focus for Lauren is building strength throughout classes to ensure bodies are ready to be challenged in the safest way possible. Outside of pole dancing, Lauren also enjoys teaching burlesque and stretch classes. Lauren's favourite thing about teaching is the transformation she sees in students - not just their strength, flexibility and coordination - but their confidence.

Pole dancing has always been about more than just learning new skills, its about the relationships built within the class, the laughter that comes from not taking things too seriously, supporting and encouraging the growth of your class mates - it's being a part of a supporting, fun and powerful environment. A truly addictive hobby.

Zoe

Zoë has been pole dancing since 2018, after seeing a Facebook post about pole dancing classes she called for more information with ZERO upper body strength she thought that it wasn't going to happen but 10 mins later she was doing a master class and instantly knew this was what she was looking for! Zoe's favourite thing about teaching is seeing her students grow over the term not only with their strength but their confidence as well as having a laugh and creating new friendships.
